Wine tasting, live music & silent art auction
With art and fine craft from Carole Epp, Teresa Gagne, Nelson Fraser, Stall Gallery, Living Skies Winery, Cupcake Conspiracy, Swank Shoe Lounge, Souleio, Blossoms and many more. Music by Stephen Hardy.

Tickets $50 in advance only: by Wednesday at 4pm. To buy tickets, call 242-5005, email gala@aidssaskatoon.ca, stop by the office, or speak to any board member.

Ticket includes one glass of beer or wine or three wine samples, and an assortment of ethically-sourced hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening. You will receive a tax receipt for $15.

AIDS Saskatoon's Executive Coordinator, Nicole White, is moderating the upcoming E-Learning Event on HIV Treatment in Saskatchewan, February 9-10, 2012. Speakers include HIV Provincial Leadership Team members Dr. Kurt Williams and Shannon Stone, and Melissa Egan from CATIE.
It's free and the deadline for registration is February 6. A PDF is attached below.

Febuary 10: Volunteering & Getting Involved (with Megan + friends; menu TBA)

It's for students, community members, new & potential volunteers, people who like free food, people who like to talk about sex and drugs, and you! Get a free hot dinner, and talk & listen about issues related to HIV in Saskatoon.

In celebration of International Women’s Day:

The 2nd Annual Women’s Spa Day at the 601

Friday, March 9th 1 – 4 p.m.

The afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment will include nail painting, hair styling, facials, games, good company, and good food, all in celebration of the beautiful women in our community!

If you’d like to help out, we’ll need some goodies to fill up gift bags (beauty products like makeup, lotions, bubble bath, etc., candles, chocolates, nail polish, and manicure items, hairbrushes, combs and accessories) as well as some door prizes (flowers, cozy blankets, warm pajamas, slippers and socks, mitts, scarves, bath towels, face cloths, and robes are just some ideas).

Hi everyone,

Inquiries about holiday volunteering are starting to pour in. That's great! I'm absolutely thrilled that so many people are interested in helping out AIDS Saskatoon over the holidays. Below, in semi-chronological order, is information about a whole bunch of ways that we can work together to make the holidays a bit brighter.

JOB POSTING: Bookkeeper

JOB POSTING: Bookkeeper
Contract position: 5-7 hours per week (as needed)
$20.00 per hour

AIDS Saskatoon’s Bookkeeper will:

• Work independently and with the Executive Coordinator to maintain transparent, well-organized accounting and bookkeeping systems;
• Be responsible for maintaining AIDS Saskatoon’s general ledger, keeping accurate and current books;
• Be familiar with and proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office;
• Prepare monthly financial reports;
• Pay bills, reconcile accounts, and administer payroll;
• Be the organizational contact between AIDS Saskatoon and our auditor;
• Report directly to the Executive Coordinator;
• Filing and other duties as requested.

The successful candidate will have experience working in charitable and/or non-profit organizations, and have thorough knowledge of charitable financial and accounting standards. Applicants must have daytime availability on either Mondays or Tuesdays.
