Red Ribbon Tag Day - September 12, 2009

AIDS Saskatoon's 16th annual Red Ribbon Tag Day fundraiser will take place on September 12, 2009. On Tag Day, volunteers across the city give out red ribbons and collect coin donations; all funds collected go directly to the Emergency Assistance Fund, which is available only to people living with HIV/AIDS in our community.

Volunteering for Tag Day

What's the most important factor in a successful Tag Day? -- The volunteers!

Vounteers are needed for both morning (9:30-noon) and afternoon (noon-2:30) shifts. No special training is necessary -- new volunteers, friends and community supporters are very welcome. If you've been considering volunteering, Tag Day is an easy and fun way to get involved and make a real difference in the lives of people with HIV/AIDS here in Saskatoon. Volunteers may work solo or in pairs - try asking a friend or family member if they'd like to help you for the day.

For more information or to sign up, phone or email Megan at AIDS Saskatoon. She'll give you the lowdown and help you choose a tagging location close to you.

Donate to the Emergency Assistance Fund

Can't volunteer but want to contribute?

Look for red ribbon taggers at locations across the city, including at the Farmers' Market, malls, liquor stores, Broadway Avenue and downtown.

Or, consider donating to Tag Day online through CanadaHelps.org
