Nicole White
Executive Coordinator

Before joining AIDS Saskatoon in October 2008, Nicole had worked as a Program Manager for Saskatchewan Intercultural Association, and the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union as Pride Centre Director. In her spare time, she works fervently on human rights issues that have a transgender and/or queer focus. She is involved with numerous committees and Boards, including Quint Housing Corporation. When she isn't doing that kind of work, she likes crocheting, watching documentaries, and hanging with her awesome spouse, Julie Richards. As Executive Coordinator, Nicole makes sure the doors stay open and the organization runs smoothly.

Cheryl Antoine
Support Services Coordinator

Cheryl is the Support Service Coordinator at AIDS Saskatoon. Most of her work includes helping anyone who comes to the 601 Outreach Centre through advocacy and counseling. Cheryl is a complete extrovert and always engaging in constructive conversation. Outside of work her time is spent with family, watching movies or playing bingo. One of her highlights of her position is the opportunity to host bingo day from time to time, usually on Fridays. She also loves leading crafts. If you come to visit AIDS Saskatoon, feel free to stop in at her office and chat; if you have any questions she will be more than willing to help!

Sherri Doell
Outreach Coordinator

"Harm Reduction Saves Lives" is emblazoned on Sherri Doell's favourite hoodie. She has a long history of work in the feminist movement and is incredibly passionate about the People Who Access Services at the 601 Outreach Centre. Her work as the Outreach Coordinator has her wearing many hats: she is our master chef, counsellor, harm reductionist goddess, our own urban dictionary, freezer meal originator and resume-writer (among many, many other things)! Sherri is known for her frankness and candor. In her current role as Outreach Coordinator, Sherri coordinates the three satellite projects in Prince Albert, Yorkton and Swift Current.

Cathy Johnson
Education and Prevention Coordinator

Cathy loves meeting people where they're at with justice and compassion. She began volunteering with AIDS Saskatoon in the summer of 2005, and immediately knew she wanted to work here someday. Cathy really, really likes cemeteries - she finds them both historically interesting and beautiful. She is also an iconographer as well as an artist in acrylic and all sorts of other mediums. Cathy is the person who sews the patches on our Memorial Quilt. She is always up for speaking at events, schools, and community centres about HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and safer sex - give her a call!

Megan Morman
Volunteer Coordinator

Before joining AIDS Saskatoon in December 2007, Megan volunteered compulsively for queer and cultural organizations such as the Saskatoon Diversity Network, AKA Gallery and the USSU Pride Centre, while doing freelance graphic design on the side. She's also a professional contemporary artist. Megan is interested in everything, and in her free time she likes to play scrabble, drink smoothies, and watch science fiction with her cats. As Volunteer Coordinator Megan is always interested in talking about new and nifty ways to get involved with AIDS Saskatoon and partner org Sexual Health Centre Saskatoon. She also handles communications and is the de facto office nerd.

Penny Zuidwyk
601 Outreach & Storytelling Coordinator

Ruth Cuthand
Artist in Residence

As Artist in Residence, Ruth works with PWAS and leads a wide variety of art and craft activities. Ruth taught for 26 years at FNUC Saskatoon Campus in the Visual Arts. She is a contemporary artist who is currently beading viruses of all kinds; when she is not beading, she enjoys her hot tub, dogs and her family.

Sarah York
Community Based Researcher

Sarah is the Community Based Researcher for Dr. Pamela Downe's CIHR-funded study on cultural experiences of parenthood in the context of HIV/AIDS. As a Women’s and Gender Studies student at the University of Saskatchewan, Sarah is well-versed in women’s, gender, and sexuality related issues. Since 2001, Sarah has been volunteering with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the Republic of Honduras. Her work with that organization has framed her “meet people where they’re at” attitude, which makes her a great fit in AIDS Saskatoon. Sarah enjoys travelling and does it as often as she can. She also likes to read science fiction, eat cupcakes, and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer with her spouse and two cats.

Jade Michael
Public Education Assistant

A passionate and inspired learner, Jade is excited to be a part of the AIDS Saskatoon team for the summer as the Public Education Assistant. Her background of Marketing and Education coupled with a future in Nursing complement her goals with AS: to educate the public about the benefits of harm reduction. Living overseas in three different countries has given Jade tons of awesome experiences to challenge her perspective. Jade loves lots of things, especially yoga, books, snakes, singing, organizing, writing, and cooking awesome vegetarian meals.

Catherine Paul
Office Assistant

Cath’s is the friendly voice you hear answering the phone at AIDS Saskatoon. She feels that her background in sociology, education and social justice finds the perfect expression in AIDS Saskatoon's philosophy and practices. She looks forward to meeting and greeting you when you walk in the office door!
