New Outreach Centre, 601 North, opens in Prince Albert

AIDS Saskatoon, in partnership with the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region and the Public Health Agency of Canada, is proud to announce the opening of a new drop in centre in Prince Albert, the 601 North Outreach Centre. The new office will serve people affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.
601 North will aim to meet basic needs with free services like coffee, computer/internet access, photocopying and faxing, personal care items and a mini clothing depot, information on safer drug use, support, and referrals to friendly service providers. AIDS Saskatoon and 601 North are committed the non-judgmental provision of our evidence-based services.
AIDS Saskatoon’s Executive Coordinator, Nicole White, is delighted to be opening up a satellite location. “The community has recognized this as a need, and we are so pleased to be assisting in this new office. We are very thankful for our Prince Albert partners and look forward to what we can accomplish together.”
AIDS Saskatoon is a community-based non-profit organization serving Central & Northern Saskatchewan. 601 North was named for the successful 601 Outreach Centre at AIDS Saskatoon.
601 North and AIDS Saskatoon look forward to continuing to build relationships in the Prince Albert community, and working together to address the impact of poverty and marginalization on HIV and HCV vulnerability.
